- Arrange Finance (Bank or Broker).
- Set a Budget for all components & stages.
- Set timeframe for completion.
- Research area where you want to build (check zoning and restrictions).
- Purchase Land (get soil test).
- Clearing or Earthworks required?
- Select best building site on your land.
- Decide who will build the Structure (You, Project Builder, Contract Builder).
- Are you going to build on a slab or a suspended floor system?
- Do you want a Block or Framed House?
- If framed will it be Timber or Steel?
- Decide if a Kit Home is right for you.
- Having a pool?
- Research for the right Builder or what to do if you want to owner build.
- Do you have your own design?
- Does it suit your land?
- How do you pick the right design?
- How much should you pay for a custom design?
- Select exterior Colours & Finishes.
- Select interior Fittings & Fixtures

- Commence construction.
